CGL & the Contractor: Traps & Tricks

This course deals with the ISO CGL as it applies to contractors. Included in the discussion will be a discussion of the insurance and non-insurance remedies for the coverage gaps. Emphasis will be on increased awareness, loss reduction, and increased service to clients.

  • Acquire knowledge about who is an insured, and potential gaps when listing named insureds
  • Learn about coverage that is implied but not stated
  • Become aware of limitations in the CGL contractual liability coverage
  • Discover how to close coverage gaps using manuscript endorsements

Ted Kinney

Ted Kinney is the owner/President of Kinney Training and Consulting, LLC.  He is also the Director of Education and Technical Affairs for the Alabama Independent Insurance Agents Association.  He has been in the insurance business for over 45 years and has been an underwriter, field representative, and insurance agent.  He has the CIC, CPCU, ARM, AU, AAM AAI AINS CPIA and CRIS designations.
